I’ve been trying to get my grams to use a double boiler for a year and a half presently, and before that my entire adult life.

She preferred her way of using cup on the stove in the cooking water.

Always freaked me out – plastic, metals, chemicals seeping into the chocolate.

This year I set it to the side (out of storage) so she could grab it if she wanted it. I said nothing.

I came home to her using it the other day.

First words out of her mouth: the double boiler makes melting chocolate so much easier.

Ok. How about safer. I was going for safer. But if easier does the trick then easier does the trick.
